Scheduled to take place 24th & 25th August, Shades of Beauty Live 2018 will showcase the latest trends in hair and beauty for women of colour in the UK. Founded by sister duo Grace Adesina and Christina Anyiamuka, the British born Nigerian businesswomen decided to launch a show they knew they would like to attend themselves but hadn’t been able to as no show in the UK/Europe beauty scene catered to their needs.

For women of colour

“We do see some shows for women of colour but very few on a grand scale. Women from an African Caribbean descent spend around 80% more on cosmetics and twice as much on skincare as their non-afro Caribbean counterparts. More and more brands are becoming available online and showcasing their diverse product ranges. It will be great to bring these brands to life by giving them, as well as the traditional bigger brands, a platform to meet with their customers and introduce themselves to new ones”, Christina Anyiamuka comments.

The show will feature live panel discussions with hot topics of debate. Also, visitors will hear from key beauty influencers, entrepreneurs and celebrities. Visitors will receive live demos, free goodies, makeovers and exclusive discounts from their favourite brands from the UK and abroad.

“Visitor experience is paramount to us. We want our guests to enjoy every aspect of the event, from the panel discussions to the products to the food and drink and live entertainment. We want this to be the ultimate girls day out.” Grace Adesina comments.

As a black woman, it’s important to see celebrations of our beauty and culture on a grand scale

Beauty and lifestyle influencer, Shantania Beckford who features in the video states, “It’s great to be involved in the first Shades of Beauty Live. As a black woman, it’s important to see celebrations of our beauty and culture on a grand scale. Black hair and beauty has so many different styles and trends but we tend to all share similar experiences.”

Shades of Beauty Live promotional video is out now and was produced by The SellFluent Group, VAMP UK and Moyesa & Co. British women of African heritage are the founders of all three business and are all ones to watch! If you don’t want to miss out make sure to get your early bird tickets before they run out!
