Introduction about Natural Brum

 

Natural Brum was created to provide a space for women of colour to talk about their natural hair journey. Our mission is to enable space for honest and authentic conversation about natural hair struggles, to share tips and to learn about our natural hair within a community setting.

Natural Brum welcomes those from different stages in their natural hair journey. She could be right at the beginning or perhaps curious as to what it means to be natural, right in the middle where she knows a fair bit but would also like to know more or,  in her element and has a lot to share with others and to her curly and coily community right here in Birmingham.

About the founder

In the middle of her natural hair journey, Kristina wanted to bring together Birmingham’s natural hair community. Her intentions for Natural Brum is to work with local natural brands to build and bring together an already growing community outside of London. As a new brand, Kristina aims to grow and extend this network through a sense of sisterhood, storytelling and through a collection of different and honest perspectives.

 

Natural Brum launches with its first event centred around two things that have been pivotal to Kristina’s natural hair journey so far: her big chop as well as styling her TWA, and actively choosing 100% natural hair products. Coming from a neutral perspective, attendees can gain an honest insight into Kristina’s natural hair journey. Her struggles, tips and tricks can be found via Natural Brum’s Instagram and Facebook page.
